2 months agoAmazing trail with a really good incline. There are a few babbling brooks along the way and we saw chipmunks and squirrels playing everywhere. The entrance to the trail is hidden by the church, but thanks to Google Maps for making it easy to find. Could be our new favorite trail!

1 year agoThis is a nice little hiking area in Huntsville. It’s located behind a church. Be mindful that they do have different hours on Sunday and Wednesday (I’m guessing because of the church). This is a good alternative from Blevins Gap as there is much less traffic on the trail. The terrain is as you’d expect, lots of trees, nice incline and we usually see some deer too while we hike. The trail is well marked and easy to follow, just watch for roots while you hike.

7 years agoNo bathrooms, ton of mosquitoes, if you are trying to find the trailhead, it's behind the church. GPS kept putting me around in circles in a neighborhood before I figured out it was behind the church. The water seemed to be dried up, not sure if it's seasonal? We didn't get far before being run out by mosquitoes and needing a restroom (while wearing deep woods off)

1 year agoGreat hike! Fairly short or decent long. Good elevation gain, but any kid over 5 could handle all of the trails. Trailhead is in a church parking lot.
