My kids and I love to hike here. It’s never the same hike, even if we take the same trail. Hilltop Pass is our favorite, but we enjoy them all. We have also enjoyed the homeschool program and the fishing rodeo.

Came here today from Tuscaloosa for my son’s first grade field trip. We had a blast. The facility is very clean and organized. Staff was kind and knowledgeable. My son had a blast seeing the amphibians and reptiles, sampling in the pond, and trekking through the creek. Was a great day. We plan to come back again on our own time.

Everything was wonderful when I drove up. I went inside the center and purchased a wrist band. I mentioned I was going to make a video to the lady that was working there as she was telling me about the stuffed black bear where you buy tickets. She really didn't respond to much about anything I said. I left the building and was going to take a few pictures of the building because it was so nice. The lady came outside and informed me I was not going to be able to stay until I spoke with someone about making a video and she wasn't asking. She seemed aggressive and agitated. She told me to come back into the center and she would refund me my money. I was so shocked I just wanted to leave. I told her she could keep the money and I told her she was very rude. Now I found this online and see all the pictures and videos people have posted. I knew with everything I seen just being in the parking lot that people had to be taking pictures and videos of the beautiful views. To see this and all the wonderful reviews I'm completely shocked how she treated me and demanded I come back in the building. I'm 100% disabled and use nature trails and making videos as therapy and just trying to enjoy life. I just don't understand why she acted like that and was so rude.

Beautiful place! Really the only place for nature trails in the region, but it’s not free. At least 6 miles of trails there. One year double pass is $75 (2 people & car decal). Think of it as a donation to help maintain a nice secluded place for nature.
