a month agoPerfect place to start your hike to caines head ur one of the public use cabins! There is a per day pay fee. And always make sure you time you hikes from here with the tides if you are going past the forest area and walking the beach.

7 months agoGreat trail! I went down to the first beach during a lower tide and it was a beautiful scene. The trail itself is one of the more difficult trails I’ve done recently, but is by no means hard. Expect some wet terrain and elevation change. There was a salmon run going at the end of September when I went which was an experience in itself. Again, very well upkept trail with wooded paths at times, and lots of terrain and erosion prevention measures being utilized. Impressed. Parking cost $5 for the day.
