We parked and car camped here. Campsites with a picnic table and a fire ring are available for $15. It was a nice, quiet location nestled in Hatcher's Pass, with the sound of a rushing stream behind the campsites. Typical outhouse facilities are provided, along with a potable water pump.

Great historic site. Enjoy the trails to bowls. Amazing hike up and in the clouds.

Pretty cool trail. Be sure to wear waterproof boots. We made it about 2.25 miles until a prior avalanche blocked the trail. You could climb over, but I'm not that brave. Lol it was BIG.

Stunning trail and is quite easy too, lots of massive mosquitoes in the summer though (especially during the first mile). Lovely views of meadows, wildflowers and the nearby mountain ranges. Worth spending the time to hiking this trail.

Yes, middle part of trail is muddy and overgrown and easy to wander onto sidetrails that eventually meet back up.... But if you go all way past the hut to Lakes, it's a pretty special place!
