Great little hike. Not too difficult.

A nice short hike with rewarding climb to see the balanced rock. You will cross the Ponca low water bridge and take the trail closest to the creek bed. (There will be a larger trail coming down the hill to your immediate right and that is part of the BRT. Don’t go that way). There were a few crossings back and forth along the creek bed to follow the trail. Look for the orange survey tape on some of the small trees to show you the way up. There are lots of footholds in roots and rocks on the climb but it is very short and doable.

We did the pomca to Steel Creek portion of this trail. It was about 2 miles one way. Most of it was a mild, easy walk. There were some portions that were on the upper end of moderate, however. Be aware that there is an ample amount of poison ivy along the trail. Picture included for those that haven't learned to identify it. If you really want to see the balanced rock, I suggest starting at Steel Creek and taking the trail from there. All in all, it was a pleasant trail.
