We did not do the actual trail. This review is for the Hickory Nut overlook at Ouachita Vista!! It is a must see if you are anywhere in the area. We stayed in Hot Springs and drove about 45 min over to see this place. It was beautiful!! Easy to get to. There is a 4.5 mile gravel road in the last part but it takes you straight to the overlook. No hiking involved!! Make time to see it!! You won’t regret it!

Excellent remote location for biking or hiking. Steep hills should be expected.

Shadow and I only did 1.5 miles out and back. Overall, it wad a good trail to stretch your legs on.
