Caddo Bend Trailhead in Mountain Pine offers an inviting hiking area perfect for walkers, families, and casual outdoor enthusiasts. This trail features a manageable loop with gentle elevation that showcases the natural beauty of the region, especially vibrant during the fall season.
The well-marked path is easy to follow, with benches and viewing platforms placed throughout for rest and appreciation of the surroundings. While the trail is generally accessible, hikers are advised to bring water and be cautious of rocky sections and occasional wildlife such as snakes.
With its combination of scenic views, moderate difficulty, and peaceful atmosphere, Caddo Bend Trailhead is highly recommended for those seeking a refreshing outdoor escape in Mountain Pine. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy nature walks and reconnect with the great outdoors.

in the last weekOne of my favorite trails in all of Arkansas. Plenty of spots where your dog can jump in and cool off. Great views. About 4 miles and 800ft of vertical gain.

5 months agoNOT HORSE FRIENDLY! NOTHING on their website designates that the trails/park do not allow equines or horseback trail riding. As explained by the park ranger, unless their website SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATES that equines are allowed, they are not. They apparently do not feel the need to designate that they are NOT allowed. Don’t believe what their STATE WEBSITE says.

5 months agoOne of my favorite trails for a moderate hike. The views are absolutely spectacular, especially since the trail wraps around the lake. Make sure to bring water, particularly during warm weather. No matter the season—spring, summer, fall, or even winter—this trail is beautiful year-round. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way!

6 months agoGorgeous trail. Great views of the lake as you trek the loop. Clearly displayed mile markers, several convenient rest points, and a well-maintained trail. This is a perfect example of what Arkansas does right: makes its natural beauty accessible and easy to enjoy.
