10 months agoToday we hiked to see Magnolia Falls. After all the rain, it was really really muddy at the beginning of the trail. I felt like we were walking around lakes. Sometimes I felt like we were walking in the stream. We didn’t get too wet, but got pretty muddy. Now that the forests are starting to be green, they look like storybook forest trails. I loved that. I loved how this trail had so much water and little tiny waterfalls. When we got down to the big waterfall, there was this whole waterfall water, rushing amazingly spectacular situation that was just beyond anything I could’ve expected. It was absolutely the most beautiful waterfall we’ve seen yet and it was so big because of all the rain. Spectacular! I had heard that we would get to see plenty of wildflowers and magnolias, but we didn’t see any of that. Lots of ferns along the trail, which I love the way they look. Bonus we saw the elk right up on the road practically when we drove through Compton. I will never stop being excited to see them.
