Very nice hike to the falls. We went on the last Saturday of August. Sadly there were 2 full size tour buses packed with tourists already headed to the falls as we arrived. These folks climbed over the railings and ignored the signs to stay out of the protected fragile area, and they were stripped down and playing all over the falls and moving rocks to dam up the water and make pools for themselves to lay in! Very upsetting and depressing to see humans have so little care for nature and the future of this protected environment! There were no park rangers around to do anything about this hot mess! Wish I could have gotten beautiful photos of the falls, but I didn’t want photos with all these other people defacing this natural beauty. They really need to plant a park ranger at the benches at the base of the falls & protect this area!
