in the last weekBeautiful views and excellent service but the rooms are dated and worn. The spa was a huge disappointment. I booked a massage (a month in advance) which was good, but the spa itself was overly crowded and stressful. There were only a few chaise lounges around the indoor pool so there was nowhere to lay and read by the pool. When I arrived, instead of showing me the lockers/spa privately they took all of us (about 6) back at the same time. There was literally no room to even stand by the lockers let alone open them and change. After my massage there was nowhere to sit by any of the pools. (It was raining so the outside pool was not an option). I left. If I had paid $200 for just the spa pass I would have been furious (spa was included with massage).

in the last weekAbsolutely amazing experience! I first learned about the Omni Grove Park Inn several years ago after discovering their spa. Unfortunately, at the time, the spa was closed to outside guests and only available to hotel patrons. This year, I finally convinced my husband to book a stay so we could experience it for ourselves, and it was 100% worth every dollar we spent. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and have such a relaxing retreat-like vibe. You’re surrounded by mountains and nature everywhere you look. There is a golf course on the property, but honestly, I barely even noticed it except when I visited the outdoor pool area. The whole place gives cozy cabin/lodge vibes, even though it’s a very large resort. The views are spectacular, especially when you first walk into the main lobby and see the mountain range stretching out in front of you. The rooms were also very nice, and I loved that they even offer a pillow menu so you can choose your perfect pillow. One thing that surprisingly stood out to me was the water pressure. Not something I usually think about, but it was amazing. The water got hot quickly and stayed hot the entire shower. There are also several restaurants inside the inn, and both the food and service were excellent. The views from the restaurants were beautiful as well. Every night there was live music in the lobby, which made the atmosphere feel even more special. They also have a dueling piano bar open on weekends, and the entertainment was top-notch. Such a fun vibe with great drink options. I had the Bee’s Knees cocktail, and it was delicious. The spa was everything I hoped it would be and more. There are multiple pools, hot tubs, wet and dry saunas, and even a café where you can order drinks and food poolside. It was so relaxing and honestly the perfect retreat and reset. There’s also an entire sports complex on the property with pickleball courts, multiple tennis courts, fitness classes throughout the day, a cardio room, a weight room, and probably even more that I’m forgetting. There are both indoor and outdoor pools, and the outdoor pool also offers poolside food and drink service. The golf course is massive and includes golf carts and caddies. I didn’t even have time to visit the additional area on the property that includes an art museum, car museum, and other activities. You could easily stay here for several days without ever needing to leave and still have plenty to do. On top of all that, you’re only about 5–10 minutes from downtown Asheville and all the fun shops, restaurants, and attractions there as well. I could honestly go on and on about our stay, but these were definitely the highlights. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back!
