Encore Apartments

We have lived in this apartment for some time, but over the past month during winter the heating system has been completely out. We submitted a maintenance request as soon as the heat stopped working, and we have now been waiting a full month with no heat restored. The unit has been so cold that we’ve had to wear heavy jackets/down coats indoors all day, and it becomes even worse at night. This has made normal daily living extremely difficult, and we also believe the prolonged cold indoor conditions have contributed to people in our household getting sick repeatedly. We have reported the problem and requested repairs. Maintenance has come to inspect, but the heat has still not been restored. We were told parts/replacement may be needed, yet there has been no clear repair timeline, no confirmed date for when heat will actually be back, and no concrete resolution or appropriate handling from management despite how serious this is. This is not a minor inconvenience—it’s a serious habitability concern for a rental home in winter.

I had to move unexpectedly for work and had a very short time to pick an apartment. Althea was AMAZING showing me the place and making sure I was happy since I was coming sight unseen. Once I arrived, the leasing manager, Audrey and Althea made sure that I was taken care of promptly and communicated very well. The maintenance supervisor, Ryan was wonderful tweaking all my requests to get settled in - he even gave me some great insider advice on the restaurant scene in Redwood City! Encore Apartments have far exceeded my expectations and I am so glad I chose them out of all the apartments in the area. I even broke and agreement of another complex just so I could be here and I couldn't be happier! Encore is convenient to all things Bay Area: Menlo, Palo Alto, San Mateo, San Carlos, the Airport, and San Franciso. It's the perfect happy medium with a vibrant city life and peace and quiet.

I toured this community recently and had such a great experience. The team was super friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole tour really enjoyable. I was looking for a 3-bedroom but just barely missed out on one. When another opens up, I definitely plan on coming back to check it out again!

I had a really disappointing experience today. I booked an apartment tour for 2:00 PM and arrived a bit early, around 1:10. They told me I was early and the person who was supposed to show me around had a meeting, which was fine—I was willing to wait. But about ten minutes later, another staff member came on shift, and they could have easily let that person know and give me the tour. Instead, they never informed that staff member, and I ended up waiting around for more than 30, almost 40 minutes. In the end, they told me there were no apartments to tour at all—only the amenities. And despite me specifically mentioning on the phone that I wanted to see a 2B2B unit, they just said they had none available. Honestly, this felt extremely unprofessional But the lady at the front desk is very nice

Great property if you live on the west side. Otherwise get used to sleeping with ear plugs. In n out is a circus show every night until 1am. You have cars rev their engine, drunk people shouting, playing garbage music at max volume. A better quality window could’ve fixed this but they have the thinnest double pane window.
