in the last weekSpeakeasy Austin, which is located on Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas, is a great spot for cocktails + live music in ATX! Per their website, "Speakeasy, located in the historic Kreisle Building, which was built in the 1870’s, has been continuously serving up great live music and great cocktails since 1997. Speakeasy is composed of three levels; the Music Lounge, the Bowling Mezzanine (which overlooks the Music Lounge stage) and the Ballroom, the Kabaret Room and the rooftop lounge, Terrace59." I recently visited for the first time for their New Year's Eve festivities with my boyfriend + a group of our friends, and we had a wonderful experience! The Spazmatics were one of the featured bands on NYE, and Speakeasy's space was perfect for experiencing live music. :-) In terms of their drinks, they make a great margarita, and the bartenders were very efficient & kind during our visit. The space within Speakeasy is huge, so there is so much to explore when you visit! I'm looking forward to returning here in the future - this is a great spot, go check them out!
