2 weeks agoMy waitress was amazing today. I believe her name was Mandana (I’m so sorry if I butchered the spelling) She was so sweet and attentive. The food was so flavorful and I really enjoyed the chicken korma and the garlic naan. We even had the mango lassi which was great. Everything was fresh. The tamarind chutney was very good.

1 month agoUpdate 11/02/2025 The Indian Buffett for $14.99 was great. Love that they changed serving the Naan fresh to the table. Grilled chicken, butter chicken, lamb stew, and fish was a great assortment of protein. The vegetarian side of the buffett, onions and green pepper stew, Dal, lentil stew, Samosas, and two types of Basmati rice: Cumin and plain. They offered a green salad with dressing. The sauces are still on point. The tamarind chutney was a great dipping sauce for the Samosas and the mint for the grilled chicken. The rice pudding is their dessert option and it's a great way to end your meal. Our server was friendly and did an awesome job running floor alone, greeting customers, checking on them, and with grace. This is a buffett that is worth the price for the assortment of dishes offered. ≈====================================== We frequented another location on Hwy 280 with the same namesake for many years. We tried this locations buffett priced at $14.99 per person. In all fairness, it may have been the time we arrived 45 minutes before closing. The rice was a bit dry. However, when mixed with the Butter Chicken it paired well. On to the good stuff, the Naan was cut down to smaller bite size pieces but still held its flavor. The bite size samosas and onion bites were good and paired well with the tamarind chutney. The butter chicken and lamb stew was delicious. The vegetable stew was on the sweet side. The only option for dessert was the rice pudding. While sweet it would have benefited from a little more cinnamon or nutmeg. The HWY 280 location was known for their buttery Naan, tandoori chicken, and delectable curries. The service would benefit the guests if someone went around and asked if they needed any water or how is everything going? The street parking is free on Sundays. The parking could be viewed as an issue. It's located within the Five Points area so the parking is limited. Overall, it was okay and fairly priced for an Indian buffett.

2 weeks agoFriendly people and amazing food. Cocktail was a little interesting (presentation wise, but delicious). We got delicious simosas (3), Mango Lasa, chicken masala (good mild spice), Chai Tini (look interesting with tea bag in it), and some delicious Naan Garlic bread (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). Hosted us very well and recommended many foods to our spice tolerance, friendly wattess.

2 months agoDosa, paneer Tikka and lamb chops at this place is awesome. The chutney is so fresh and not the freezed one we get from other places. Staffs are welcoming and very friendly. Try it in person and you will love it.

1 month agoThis is the third time we’ve eaten at Bay Leaf, and it is absolutely worth the 60 minute drive to enjoy some amazing Indian cuisine! Husband and I both have allergy restrictions and we have had no reactions any time we’ve eaten here. The food is fresh and flavorful and absolutely deserves the 5 stars! (Husband ordered the curry chicken, I ordered the lamb Kadhai, and we shared the dosa. All amazing dishes!) The overall experience has been friendly, delicious and absolutely worth the travel. We’re looking forward to our next visit to Bham to try new dishes at Bay Leaf!
