Soon after entering Crawford Notch SP heading north, the sign for Arethusa Falls and Frankenstein Cliffs Tr will quickly appear on the left. There is a large lower parking area as soon as you turn in and a much closer one up the hill. Parking fees are required with a drop box for cash. A kiosk provides a map of the two popular trails. We were there mid-April, and the ground and trail were still snow-covered though the temps were in the 70s. The hike to Arethusa Falls was fun and beautiful. It's a steady moderately difficult climb with some undulations, then descends to the falls. It was hard to picture the falls being 150 feet tall until a couple ventured closer to it. Quite wonderous. The falls must be an awesome sight during warmer weather.
Well marked trail, and maintained. Gorgeous anytime of year! Easy for experienced hikers, but worth the sweat for the view!
