in the last weekA hike that is absolutely gorgeous and amazing! We went in a mixed geoup of experienced hikers and non experienced hikers from in the state and from out of the state. It was a great hike for beginners as well but if this is your first ever hike and used to no hill hikes it might be a challenge! It is a climb up going up and some places are rocky and slippery. Some parts don't have trees for shade so I would recommend taking a hat and also bug spray. It is a great place for experienced hikers and new hikers to come together if you have a new hiking group!

in the last weekExcellent hike highly worth it. Well paved. Only recommend to bring $5 cash for parking. Maybe some wet wipes and hand sanitizer as no running water in bathroom.

in the last weekWe were here on the Memorial Day weekend. The trail could be slippery with creeks running over or rough with gravels, so it would be helpful to wear proper hiking shoes that are waterproof and grippy. The view of the lake is gorgeous and I did see people plunge in to enjoy the freshness of the water.
