I just want to start by saying this is usually my favorite sushi spot and one of the main places I go to for sushi. I’m also not someone who normally writes reviews unless they’re 5 stars, so for me to write this, it’s because the service yesterday was genuinely really disappointing. I went with my boyfriend and my sister to celebrate her birthday. We were off to a good start, but when we all ordered large sakes around 8:45 PM on a Thursday, our server seemed confused. We had to repeat that we wanted three large sakes. He asked if we wanted beer with them, and we said no. My sister did want a beer, but he asked my boyfriend and me again if we wanted beer with ours, and we again told him no. When he brought the drinks out, he said, “I brought an extra cup for beer just in case,” even though we had already told him more than once that we did not want beer. We started drinking the sake and noticed something seemed strangely off about it. It tasted much lighter than what we’re used to, but I’ll come back to that. While we were still looking through the menu and figuring out what we wanted, the server came up behind me, looked at the menu before I was even finished, and put in our appetizer order. That would have been fine, except we had two appetizers marked and he only put in one of them, so one of our appetizers was completely missed. It also just felt like we were being rushed before we were even done ordering. The one appetizer came out, and I left the rest of our completed sushi order on the table for him to pick up. Our server did not come back for another 20 minutes to check on us or even pick up the order. We eventually had to call him over ourselves. He barely said anything and just picked it up. On the order paper, I had clearly written “NO AVOCADO” because I am allergic. When the sushi came out, it had avocado on it. I couldn’t even tell our server right away because, again, he never came by to check on us. We had to call him over ourselves, and he seemed shocked when I told him. He took the plate back and had the kitchen remake it, which was fine. At this point, we were still drinking our large sakes, and I was slowly drinking the same glass of water I had been given at the beginning because it had not been refilled once. I was literally trying to make my water last because our server had never offered to refill any of our drinks or our water. The replacement sushi came out, but our server did not bring it. Someone from the kitchen brought it to us. After that, our server never came back to our table again. By the end of the night, my water was completely empty, I was thirsty, and we had to wave him down just to get our check. Now back to the sake. Usually when we go out and order a large sake, we can definitely feel it. This time, all three of us finished ours and somehow left completely sober. Combined with how unusually light the sake tasted, it just made the drinks seem off compared with what we normally get. Overall, the experience was disappointing. One of our appetizers was missed, my sushi came out with an allergen I had asked to be removed, our drinks and water were never refilled, we had to repeatedly flag down our server, and the sake was noticeably different from what we’re used to.

Absolutely impeccable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sushiholic never disappoints. The food is fresh, beautifully prepared, and everything tastes amazing. The quality, presentation, and service are consistently on point. Easily one of my favorite sushi spots in Phoenix. 🍣✨ Highly recommend!
