in the last weekWe were lucky enough to get outdoor seating upon just walking in on Sunday evening. Ordered Camote Asado, Enmolada de Pato, Chulaquiles De Borrego. Special mention to Camote Asado, the sweet potato appetizer. Would definitely recommend Alma Fonda!

in the last weekWhere do I begin. Originally scheduled a reservation for Saturday and accidentally showed up Friday night. Still they accommodated us. Lane was a rockstar from the moment we sat down. Lane kept us informed about the menu and had a light professional banter about him. The food was amazing but we already know that. This shoutout is truly for the staff! Amazing experience, amazing atmosphere, great attitudes and most importantly good vibes! Great experience and will definitely be back soon.

in the last weekWe made reservations for 8:30pm on a Thursday night and were seated right away. The place was busy with great energy. It is very pretty inside decorated with different textures and greenery. Our server Emily was knowledgeable about the menu and had suggestions on how many dishes to order. She took very good care of us. There were three of us in our party and we started out with the Oaxaca Old Fashioned (mescal - yum!) and the Sweet Corn Margarita. I know that sounds weird, but it was excellent. Here is what we ordered: Rajas Con Crema - wild mushrooms, roasted corn and poblanos with a lovely salsa de arbol. It was delicious. Camote Asado - their signature sweet potato dish. This was one of the best dishes we have ever eaten. It is so unique and you will love it even if you don't like sweet potatoes. We ordered all three Crudo offerings. The tuna and avocado was our favorite, followed by the scallops, then the Hamachi. They were all excellent, but that night we felt the Hamachi was somewhat fishy. For our final dish we chose the NY Strip All Arriero. OMG, it was fabulous! It was cooked perfectly medium rare and the Arriero sauce was so good I am going to try to re-create it at home. We fought over the buttered cippolini onions. We live in Cincinnati, but our kids live in Denver, and this place will be a #1 choice to dine every time we visit them. It is certainly worthy of that Michelin star!! Update: Tried for 2 days in a row to get a reservation at exactly 8am 60 days ahead. Only 9:30pm left both days????? at exactly 8am??? Obviously there's a bot or something eating up reservation times. Phone message says you can't call. Won't recommend to anyone anymore. Not user friendly, but I guess they don't care because they are so popular. Shame on them.
