3 months agoBring good hiking boots this is very steep & rocky. The 1/4 mile walk uphill from the parking area is ridiculous. I'd recommend slower or older folks getting dropped off at the trail head. There's a bench for resting up top. My knee was injured so that signicantly helped. The view of Cave Creek & surrounding area is spectacular. Dare you challenge yourself up this 45° mountain to reach the top. It is a brutal challenge from start to finish.

3 months agoAmazing and rugged hike! Short, at only 2.2 miles round trip, but seriously punishing! The views from the top are stellar and well worth the climb. You really need to watch your footing, especially coming down, as the terrain is sketchy & technical. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a challenging hike with a rewarding view :) Also best tackled on a cooler day!
