3 weeks agoShort hike from the trailhead down to the Agua Fria River. 1.7 miles round-trip in the wash. There are Petroglyphs on the rocks just above the river. In April 2026 there was still sufficient water in the river for the dogs to play in.

a month agoLittle shade and mostly sandy trail. Lots of brush and easy for car to get scratched in some narrow parts if another car is coming in the opposite direction. Areas with water are buggy during spring. Petroglyths are behind a bush up a hill once you hit the Badger Springs area with the most water. Mostly depictions of deer like animals. There are some saguaros and butterflies. Lots of off leash dogs that jump in front of cars, so beware. Probably wont go again but nice to know what it's about.
