3 weeks agoBlue Ridge Nature Trail has the potential to be a nice space for a brief walk through nature. You park at the children's park, which is a smaller, updated payground, to the right of the school & the trail is just past the gate to the right. Beyond that, I believe is the school's property. The trails aren't marked, nor maintained. Even the 'Blue Ridge Nature Trail' sign at the entrance has fallen & seems to have been there for some time. There was quite a bit of litter & I didn't see any trash cans beyond the restroom at the park. Most of what seemed like trails were blocked with piles of brush or had fallen trees blocking. The wooden bridge over the creek is nice, but unfortunately, the path to the right leads to residential housing. There are 3 benches near the creek if you wanted to sit.

6 months agoWe enjoyed the walk once we figured out where to go. Part of the area has trees cut down in a circular area.

8 years agoThis trail is relatively easy to access (once you've found it) and has some nice walking paths, benches, and wooden bridges. The stream flows well when there's been some rain. It was gorgeous when it snowed, but we've visited since then and it's still nice.
