ModernHaus SoHo

My first time staying at ModernHaus SoHo and absolutely loved it. The hotel, staff, service, breakfast menu, decor, everything. Would love to experience in the summer months to get full experience with outdoor terraces and rooftop. Definitely on my list for repeat performance! Highly recommend.

Booked a two-night Broadway and restaurant experience. We wanted quick access to Broadway and also great restaurants and shopping. You get it all here. The subway is one block away. West Broadway has a ton of boutique shops. Even a cab to West Village was less than $20. Subway to midtown/Broadway was only 20 minutes. Hospitality at Modernhaus was excellent. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable

Pros- location and spacious than other NYC hotels. Really great service from most employees. Toiletries smelled really nice. Cons- receptionist this morning 2/17 was very awkward and abruptly asked us to check out. We were leaving anyway but the interaction was uncomfortable. This was odd as the rest of the hotel staff was the complete opposite and very welcoming. The hotel won’t warn you about policies important to them until you check out, not before you check in. As a guest, I don’t intentionally want to break policy and a warning or notice would have been sufficient and helpful to both parties. Communication should have been their priority especially if it’s a policy not advertised very well. Ordered avocado toast for room service too. Toast was burnt. I asked for egg whites and they gave me eggs that had a slight yellow tint to them. I wonder if they accidentally put the yolk and tried to take it out? When you see stuff like this you understand why people with allergies have a hard time eating out.

The staff was lovely and attentive, the hotel is beautiful with excellent rooms including heated bathroom floors which was perfect in the extremely cold weather. Very good price and great location near the Canal st subway stations, easy to get to multiple different lines.
