in the last weekNobu Malibu is only worth it for the outdoor patio, let’s be honest, the food is the same at every Nobu location, so that’s not what sets this place apart. The view and the patio are the entire draw. We had a reservation on August 18th, made four weeks in advance, specifically for outdoor seating. When we got there, the hostess was rude and dismissive, and we walked away feeling like the patio was being held over our heads unless we tipped for it. It completely ruined the night before we even sat down. Food’s fine, but you can get that anywhere. This location lives or dies on the patio experience, and the attitude at the front desk killed it for us. Not going back.

in the last weekReserved a table at Nobu Malibu for August 18th, three weeks in advance! specifically for the outdoor patio, which is honestly the only reason to eat here. Didn’t matter. The hostess was rude and dismissive, and gave us the distinct impression that a tip might have gotten us the patio seating we’d booked. That’s not how reservations should work. The food is fine, but if the patio is why you’re going, don’t count on actually getting it. Can’t recommend this location, the one thing that makes it special isn’t guaranteed, and the attitude at the door set the tone for a bad night.
