in the last weekThe falls were absolutely stunning, much larger than I expected. It was a longer hike than expected with the second half being mostly uphill at a steep grade. Small sections have quite thin paths on a cliff, which while exciting, slipping on them did happen which was scary. If you are an intermediate hiker i would recommend it, but not for small children or people looking for a scenic walk.

2 weeks agoTook me 2 hours to reach the falls, 1.5hours back. It's all uphill in a gradual slope on the way there and then down hill coming back. I would call the trail moderate, but the stream crossing after the first mile will knock a lot of people out. I brought sandals and forded the water, it was up to my knees for two steps. I saw some people shimmy across fallen trees or jump sections... but to each is own. The last quarter mile of the road to the parking lot was rough although a lot of cars in the lot. Beautiful well maintained and cleared trail. Nice view of Mt Hood at the river crossing.

a month agoAs of 4.19.26 There is 1 skinny log to cross the river. Not idea if you have a doggy. It's still a beautiful mile hike from the parking lot to the river.
