My 2 friends and I arrived a few minutes after Ritters opened on a Sunday and were the only folks there for 10 plus minutes after we ordered. It took us 40 minutes to get our order and in meantime we saw numerous pizzas being made. I ordered a single pizza and my 2 friends ordered burgers which were done right away and sitting under heat lamps for over 20 minutes. At one point one of the pizza preparers dropped the big metal implement they use to put pizzas in the oven and hung it back up without washing it. When I asked why our order was taking so long, the worker said it was because they had a large take-out order for pizza placed the night before. If it would take 40 minutes to get a pizza order, wouldn't you think that would be something you would tell your customer? I commented that our burgers had been cooked and ready for over 20 minutes under the heated waiting area and the waitress said pizza and burgers are separate lines that operated independently. She apologized for the wait, but said that's just how things worked. So apparently there is no staggering of different parts of the order. Seems like your burgers would dry out and get overcooked sitting on a hot shelf for over 20 minutes. The waitress brought the burgers out a few minutes before the pizza arrived and when the pizza came out it was soggy in the middle (see photo). I'm not sure if they washed but did not spin the arugula or if there was just too much oil. The burgers were good, but overall, a disappointing experience, especially considering the price. This is not a cheap burger/pizza joint, but higher end.
