We spent approximately $80 on lunch for three people, and unfortunately my meal was nowhere near what I expected from Shake Shack. I ordered the limited-time West Coast Chicken Sandwich. The menu photo shows a crispy chicken sandwich with sliced avocado, tomato, lettuce and a reasonable amount of sauce. What I received looked nothing like it. The sandwich was absolutely covered in sauce, the lettuce was hanging out everywhere, and the ingredients that are supposed to make this a “West Coast” chicken sandwich were barely recognizable. I understand that restaurant food isn't going to look exactly like a professionally photographed menu image, and I’m normally pretty reasonable about that. But this wasn’t just about appearance, the sandwich looked carelessly assembled. What bothered me even more was the response when I brought it to the attention of the employee who delivered our food. Instead of offering to fix it or even asking what was wrong, he smirked, said “you’re good,” and walked away. For an $80 lunch for three people, I expected better, not perfection, just a properly prepared meal and some basic concern when a customer points out a problem. I’ve had higher expectations of Shake Shack, which made this experience especially disappointing.

It’s fine if you’re not into the food court offerings or order restaurants in the mall. Now that they have newly implemented dynamic pricing (you MUST tip on the kiosk or else it increases the price of each item you’re ordering, often by $0.50+), this is more scam than charm. Keep the better shops in business, eat somewhere else.
