in the last weekFirstly, I must mention, I love Lake Tahoe...even still now. Been coming for years, grew up in CA close by, was even married here!..that said..Tahoe is fast becoming an unwelcome place. SO busy you can't even get around, the 'Keep Tahoe Blue' slogan is only that..with the garbage riddled waves coming to shore...you have to look closely: plastic bits, cig butts, glass pieces, used band-aides, picnic garbage oddities etc..and hidden exclusivity with having to make reservations to visit Sand Harbor?!? Used to just show up early if you wanted a good spot...sorry not anymore....although efforts are being made to improve infrastructure at the lake, this trail being one of the highlights, Tahoe doesn't feel the same. I guess the only constant in life is change.
