The Rumpus Room

It was a great place, in theory. I was mostly just disappointed in how the toys were managed throughout the space. "Embracing chaos" is was the owners defense. Pretend food, small items, and pieces from multiple play sets were scattered across every room rather than contained within their themed areas (for example, kitchen items staying with the kitchen set). My toddler spent most of the visit simply picking up random objects off the floor and carrying them around because there was no clear place for activities to happen. I fully expect toys to be used and moved in a children’s play space, but some level of organization and periodic resetting helps young children engage in purposeful play and keeps them from just wandering and collecting floor items. Instead, the environment felt more like loose clutter than interactive play stations, which made it difficult for my child to meaningfully engage.

Absolutely amazing place to bring your kids. The owner is super helpful and accommodating. Having a birthday party here is a must for young kids. It's the perfect size to be able to host a party, socialize and watch your kids run and have fun being kids. There are simple rules and they make the rumpus room a safe and sanitary place to bring your kids. Highly recommend the rumpus room.
