2 months agoFirst time here and I did a gel manicure and pedicure with no prior appointment. This is a picture of their “gel” work after a week. With 3 layers! Probably the worst gel work I’ve had in a long time. So thin. Peeling and chipped. I felt the middle aged lady who was doing it was doing a very sloppy, incomplete job of prepping the nails while she was working on it but I thought I’d trust the process and didn’t say anything. And she didn’t seem to know or flat out didn’t care how much time she put each layer under the UV light but I’ve been told it does make a difference. Some times she baked it too long and sometimes too short. She spent more time lecturing me about having kids than doing nails. No wonder the store was almost empty.
