3 weeks agoIt was a cloudy dreary day and we still had a blast! Well maintained trail and gorgeous rock structures and views! Our kids are 4, 13 and 16 and every one of them loved this hike and climbing up cool rock platforms.

5 months agoI'm goanna rate this moderate to hard. Cause we rock climbed to the top like spider family. And the view was worth the climb. Do it if u ready for an challge with the view being the reward . Take your time and don't get in bind for sure . And it cost 5 dollar at the swim beach on down at Heber so we had a big day . Hike , rock climbing ,lunch , and swam . Awesome time once in a life time it felt like . And the weather was fantastic for September 1

3 months agoIf you are out of shape it can be difficult but the trail is well maintained. Loose gravel in some spots and steep incline. There are resting spots along the way. If you are younger and in shape it should be easy. Beautiful view and worth the huffing and puffing!

7 months agoEnjoyed walking the trails. Was good going for for our family of 5. With kids being 7mon, 3yr, & 5yr. However only myself and my 5yr made the climb to the very top. They have made lots of improvements to the area over they years that I have been coming to this area (we have a family camp house in the area)

7 months agoNice area behind ASU Heber Springs. Wife has bad knees, so we hiked the Tonawanda trail. Nice walk. We are still trying to find the story behind the Mystery of Pontiac Point on this trail. I bet its a good story on this 53 Chieftan. The only thing we did not like on this trail is the couple of pieces of litter we found and carried out. (To whom it may concern, you're welcome, stop being disrespectful) All of the locals we came across out here, from the 2 legged to the 4 legged, were very friendly and welcoming. Which is not what we heard it was like. We will try a different trail next time we are here. Great walk, go try it.
