8 months agoMade it halfway from Girdwood to Eagle River (about 11 miles) and attempted to cross Eagle River on a rainy day but had to turn back. For many people, this trail ends at Crow Pass Cabin or Raven Glacier, which is perfect for a day hike Crossing Eagle River has been done, but only if the water level is low enough (usually thigh or lower). It can get dangerous quick if attempting to cross when the water level is higher and faster. Aside from the Eagle River roadblock, the trail is incredibly gorgeous and a beautiful experience in the Chugach Mountains
