in the last week2026-02-28 open, they added some gravel and a fence. Completely full by 9am. Near zero people at the summit before 8am, but a solid wall of traffic starting after that. Mostly a good exercise hike. Rainier is visible on clear days. Uphill hikers have the right of way. :D
