a week agoUnquestionably one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and on mother's day to boot! We had already ordered wine and appetizers, as well as a grilled cheese for my son when the waitress informed us entree tickets were at an hour. Great that would've been nice to know before we were seated as we have a young child. Oh well we can make the best of it and enjoy the wine and apps. Somehow the table next to us who arrived after and ordered after us got their apps and their kids menu items in a reasonable time. After an hour since we had ordered entrees I asked for something for my kid to munch on as he was growing impatient waiting for his grilled cheese. This was about the time the table two away from us decided to leave, they had been there for over 90 minutes and haven't received their appetizers. Told them I wished I had cut my losses earlier as well. Finally our entrees arrive but my sons grilled cheese was missing. Mind you we had ordered this almost immediately upon being seated. Our server comes to check on the quality of our entrees and I inform her "he's missing his meal". Her response was that the kitchen missed that and the only way to get it would be for her to re-ring the item in. Ok so you're blaming the kitchen in what was clearly your fault. She then informs us if we want the grilled cheese it will not be out fast by any means. Ok so you can't go back to the kitchen tell them you messed up and need a grilled cheese on the fly that should've been on the table 90 minutes ago. Gave her the card to close out immediately as my child needed to be fed. Manager comped our drinks thanks but this was a situation to comp more than the drinks, like everything. Complete disaster. My wife and I both have years of experience working in restaurants and can be very understanding for busy nights and user error but this was just a terrible performance from the wait staff and kitchen. Shocked 300 East just celebrated 40 years because if this is common they won't make it to 41 years. Departed and still needed to go get my kid dinner. Very memorable experience, not in a good way whatsoever.

a week agoAwesome Sunday brunch spot. The green mint seasonal tea with grits entree is a 10/10 combo. Service could’ve been slightly better but nonetheless, I recommend checking out 300 East!
