Black Bear Diner West Valley

Ordered on-line said it would be ready in 20 mins, 30mins after the 635 time line still no food, door dash guys waiting also. I like coming here to eat but will not do this again. Watching sit on the counter get cold. Finally after almost 1 hr. And to make it better get home and part of the order is missing.sorry never ordering anything from here again

Dang I don't really like leaving bad reviews but this place did not cut it. 2 of the 3 people didn't even eat it. I'm glad this wasn't the only time I've been to a black bear diner because I don't know if I would have returned I got the eggs Benedict with tomato and avocado. The eggs were overdone and I've never had it were the cooked the tomatoes on it. I thought it was fresh tomato? Also the potatos were so overdone. The whole experience was just not that great.

We went here tonight with family to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We were there for over 45 minutes & never got our food. We had a party of 6. A group of 8 came in after us & they got their food, along with everyone else who came in after us. We finally got up & left after 45 minutes. Our food still wasn’t even up on the order when we left as we were seated right by the kitchen & could watch all the food being served. Our waitress came over a couple times to tell us that she was still waiting on them to make our food as we are watching everyone else getting theirs. I even asked if our order was not put in & was told it was, but they had to get everyone else’s food who had ordered before us out. Another 20 min went by & the waitress came again to apologize & say our food was next but would still be about 10-15 minutes. Once we seen the party of 8 get their food, we got up & left. We had 2 young kids who were hungry & waiting that long was outrageous! My husband told the waitress as we were leaving that this was no excuse as everyone else was getting food & ours still wasn’t even ready. She said she didn’t blame us for leaving. So we went to Dee’s instead should have went there to begin with as we got our food in less then 15 minutes. Will never go to this restaurant ever again. Such poor service & no one seemed to really care.

In 50+ years of life, I have never seen such poor service. Our originally assigned server took our initial drink order and we never saw him again. I watched this guy for a while; he attended every table around us but not ours. He NEVER stopped by our table or said anything. If you are a minority tourist in Utah, do NOT go to Black Bear Diner at all!!!
