8 months agoMcHugh Peak is a solid hike overall; the first mile is the hardest/steepest but then it gets easier past Grandview. Took just under 4 hours, with a short stop for food, and the views of Anchorage, the Turnagain Arm, and Chugach Mountain range are some of best in this area

9 months agoLot less crowded than the South side trailhead at McHugh. Very fun trail, love the ridge running. Small lot though, so can fill up fast despite small crowds.
