a month agoI had family coming into town that had eaten here before and were looking forward to going back. Knowing it was a busy weekend in town, Valentine’s Day and we had a large group of people I called to do reservations three days ahead of time - and was told the restaurant wasnt doing any reservations over Valentines Day weekend. We got to the restaurant at 5:00 in hopes to get there before the rush. We were told it was 30 minutes for a table our size, by the time they got our phone number it was going to be a 90 minutes wait - when I look at two large tables pushed together with four people sitting at it and reservation signs sitting on the table. I asked the staff about reservations as I was told they werent taking any - they stammered and tried to tell me “they called ahead by 15 minutes.” I wish I could say this was the first time Ive had trouble making reservations - we did a dinner for a coworker another time and were told at that time “we only do reservations for groups of ten or more.” Reservation policy seems to be on the whims of whatever employee answers the phone.
