in the last week1.6 miles walk out to the trail head from parking lot. Not marked well once out on trails. Its a very pretty peaceful walk tough through the forest.

a month agoGood place. Tranquil. But BEWARE, e we got covered in ticks!!! Despite using spray and staying on the open trails, so many ticks.

2 months agoWell maintained trails through natural habitat. Trails for vehicles, horses, bikes and hikers. Plenty of free parking. However, they do charge for day use.

7 months agoHiking trails were somewhat unmaitained but blazes were visible, which is the important thing. Split off from Sulphur Island loop to follow yellow blaze trail which was...challenging...for a flat land hike. Many spider webs I walked into. Had to follow equestrian trails to return to Cassia trailhead. There are many campsites and trails here. For the experienced Florida hiker/outdoorsman it's good, with multiple biomes to traverse (pine forest, prairie, saw palmetto, and scrub). Perhaps easier when it's not late summer, but this was for the experienced.
