5 months agoGood place. Tranquil. But BEWARE, e we got covered in ticks!!! Despite using spray and staying on the open trails, so many ticks.

6 months agoWell maintained trails through natural habitat. Trails for vehicles, horses, bikes and hikers. Plenty of free parking. However, they do charge for day use.

11 months agoHiking trails were somewhat unmaitained but blazes were visible, which is the important thing. Split off from Sulphur Island loop to follow yellow blaze trail which was...challenging...for a flat land hike. Many spider webs I walked into. Had to follow equestrian trails to return to Cassia trailhead. There are many campsites and trails here. For the experienced Florida hiker/outdoorsman it's good, with multiple biomes to traverse (pine forest, prairie, saw palmetto, and scrub). Perhaps easier when it's not late summer, but this was for the experienced.
