Our group had a great time and truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our group had cobb salad, filet steak, blackened redfish, salmon, various desserts, and coffee and every bit was great.

Was a one and done for this place. Started off really nice with a couple cocktails but went downhill from there. I ordered a steak done medium with the potatoes and green beens. My wife ordered the burger. When the food came out, my wife’s fries were not fully cooked and my potatoes and green beens were lightly warmed ( I will say that my steak was done perfectly at this point). When we mentioned to the waiter, he took the food and ( going by what was told to us) put the plates in the oven to heat everything up. Well, 10 min in the oven and my steak was now well done. My wife’s burger buns were also well done at this point. My wife suggested that we start over with fresh plates of food. We were not in a hurry and at this point the manager asked if we would like another round of drinks ( thinking they might comp them since the food debacle). We had been there in the booth for about 1 hr at this point. Our new plates of food were brought out and my wife’s burger was better but they brought me a steak that was rare. Could not eat it. When we got the bill, they did charge us for the extra round of drinks ( we would not have ordered if we knew we would be charged, the way the manager said it, it sounded like a free round for our trouble….maybe I misread the room…could be my fault). Will not visit this place again.

So- super disappointed because I thought it was going to be GREAT. Our service started out great but slowly declined as our service went on. But I will start from the beginning of our meal. We had fried green tomatoes and crab and corn fritters. Both looked beautiful and tasted great! We initially ordered just the fried green tomatoes and the. added on the crab and corn fritters as well as a half dozen of oysters- which we never actually got. My husband had a smoked whiskey or bourbon cocktail and he said it was also delicious. He had the asparagus soup which he said he enjoyed. We both ordered ribeyes, his blue rare and mine medium rare. Both ordered fries and he had collard greens as well and I ordered asparagus with the 3 garlic shrimp add on. Our steaks were cooked perfectly although I would say mine had a lot more gristle than it should have. But my main complaint is that my shrimp were way overcooked. The first one I thought maybe it was just that one. Nope the second one rubber. I refused to eat anymore. When we were finished with our meal I asked for a box because I didn’t finish my steak, when the waiter came to get the plate he said, “do you want to grab that last shrimp?” I said, “actually they were overcooked.” No apology. No offering to replace them. No taking it off our bill. Just literally nothing. “Yes ma’am.” Yes ma’am to me telling you it was overcooked. OK cool. The atmosphere was nice but I’m not paying for good appetizers, OK food with a side of overcooked shrimp with OK service for the atmosphere. I feel like it could have been handled a lot better. When he asked how our food was it was maybe two minutes after it was dropped off at our table. I literally did not take one bite yet. And he never asked again. Not impressed. Do not recommend. For that price I expect better. I could have made a better meal for less at home which is what I intend to do next time. It just would have been nice to go somewhere and have a nice break. But that is not what it turned out to be.
