Hemlock Boise stands out as a sophisticated addition to downtown Boise‘s dining scene. This restaurant offers an elevated yet approachable atmosphere with high-end finishes and comfortable seating, perfect for happy hour or a full dinner. Valet parking adds to the convenience of this location.
The menu features unique dishes such as deviled eggs topped with pork belly and a classic flat-top burger made from prime steak trimmings, paired with a house-made sauce that has quickly become a favorite. The “1000 layer potato” offers a buttery, flaky twist on traditional potatoes, showcasing the kitchen’s creativity. Guests appreciate the outstanding service and the knowledgeable bar staff, who craft exceptional cocktails like the Hemlock and Socratic Method.
While some dishes offer adventurous flavor combinations, overall the food impresses with quality and presentation. Hemlock Boise is highly recommended for those seeking a stylish, well-served steakhouse experience in Boise.

in the last weekAbsolutely do not recommend unless you are extremely motivated to spend hundreds for a less than average experience. Food is extremely over priced and they do their best to make it “unique” but it’s watered down theatrics at 5 times the price.

in the last weekI celebrated my birthday at Hemlock and I’m honestly still thinking about how incredible the experience was. From the moment we walked in, everything exceeded my expectations. Geovanny, the manager went above and beyond to make sure my night felt special and the entire team were exceptional. The service was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm every single person made us feel welcome and taken care of. My friends were just as impressed many of them had never been before and now they’re already talking about celebrating their own birthdays here. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like a priority, this is it. 10/10.

in the last weekDanyelle, our server, was friendly and attentive. The wedge salad was fabulous with large pieces of bacon ( the salad could have been a meal), Brussels sprouts are very rich (so be careful,), 8oz steak was perfectly cooked and salted with a very thin crust that added to the perfect texture. Although we didn’t order cocktails the menu look fabulous. Interiors were dark and moody as a steakhouse should be. Reportedly, there is a pianist on Tuesdays in the bar and a DJ Wednesday through Saturday.
