Located on Lincoln Street, Mangiare offers a warm and inviting setting to enjoy Sitka‘s freshest ingredients. This restaurant is especially praised for dishes like the fresh halibut fish and chips, which feature light, crispy breading that highlights the quality of local seafood. The bolognese and piccata are customer favorites, often enjoyed by visitors who return multiple times during their stay.
While the small size of the restaurant means there might be a short wait, guests find the experience worthwhile thanks to the flavorful food and well-stocked bar offering a variety of drinks, including a decent Old Fashioned. Mangiare balances casual comfort with excellent cuisine, making it a reliable choice for those seeking hearty meals in a friendly atmosphere.

a week agoFood is very good. We had halibut fish/chips and the clam chowder with 2 beers and it was $100. We split the food. Beware of price gouging.

2 weeks agoCRUISE SHIP FOLKS RUN AWAY!!! Very small portions for the price. I get it. It's Alaska. I have been to several Alaska restaurants and this was ridiculous. The $25 "seafood"chowder might be a 6 oz ladel. Fish and ships were tiny. Chicken sandwich was pretty good. Service was so slow. THEY RAN MY CREDIT CARD AND JUST GAVE ME THE PORTION TO SIGN. WHEN I ASKED FOR AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT THEY AUTO GRATUITIED A PARTY IF 5 WITHOUT TELLING US. SHADY SHADY SHADY. GO ANYWHERE ELSE

2 weeks agoI would discourage you from eating here. Outrageous prices suppose to be Italian food is didn't see any on menu. Hamburgers for $30 and fish sticks $40. Ask for sprite waitress forgets waiting 30 minutes for food then was told they gave it to someone else waiting another 20 minutes the Hamburger buns were burnt and waitress ask how she can fix it I said guess a discount but again she forgets to bring new buns and mustard. Oh let's not forget plastic silverware which I had to use to eat hamburger because I had no bun the meat was good but not worth $30 rude manager.
