a week agoThe food was divine, and the service was exquisite. My husband is so passionate and picky with what he calls great food, and this is now one of his favorite restaurants when we went on our anniversary. We couldn't stop raving about it on the way home! We got complimentary warm fresh bread (and a little potato snack from the chef), and ordered the charcuteria (with a delicious liver/port reduction), tuna tartare, and pulpo (octopus and more). The timing and quality of the appetizers were PERFECT, I didn't even get photos since I was so hungry and eager to dig into each plate. I'll have to go back and update sometime. For main courses, my husband had the Pato Confitado (duck leg confit) with the apple and other sides. It was cooked so perfectly tender and deliciously, and the pairings were perfectly balanced and light. I had the special/limited lamb rack, and it was also so fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious. I adored the pairings on the plate too. For dessert, I had the house-made ice cream (3 scoops) and they were very good. The lemon peel was so amazing, the creme brulee was very comfortable for lack of better words, and the chocolate rather normal but good. My husband got the Torrija, and he talks about it many weeks later almost every day. And I get why, because the bite I had of the soaked brioche and honey-rosemary ice cream was like sweet heaven and I wish I ordered it! All of the flavors were so fresh, light, and delightful. Never felt felt bloated or sick, despite bursting at the end of the night. I usually like bolder flavors, heavy spices, big scents, etc. but this was a really clean, unique, and delightful meal. I would absolutely recommend this for a special occasion, and will be back with family in the future. The servers perfectly watched over us and delivered food & new plates and cutlery in perfect time. The bill as well (3 apps+2 entrees+2 desserts = ~$170 roughly, excluding our tip) The only downside would be the noise... We had a 7pm Tuesday appointment, and I could barely hear my husband over the noise of everyone talking and echoing. It not only gave me a headache, but it's not great for conversation and I never could hear my waiters or hostess. I did not see much space for 4+ bigger parties, but my husband and I were sat very close to the front, so I didn't see much of the back/rest of the restaurant.
