Overall I achieved the outcome I needed for now, so I am reviewing 2/5 instead of a 1/5 - but for a case with any complexity, I would not recommend this clinic. You have to be ready to really study and question everything communicated to you. They are ultimately PE owned and prioritize efficiency. My 3 big issues were: 1. The genetics team missed a recurring chromosomal abnormality pattern across my embryo PGT-A results. I identified the pattern myself and had to push for a karyotype test, which confirmed I'm a carrier for a chromosomal translocation - a finding with direct implications for conception. This should not fall on the patient to catch (and I’m not a geneticist). 2. Communication between the genetics team and my doctor was inconsistent. I understand routing detailed genetic questions through the geneticist, but my doctor should be briefed well enough to give the same information the genetics team is giving. 3. After my egg retrieval, Dr. Chervenak told me one number of eggs retrieved upon waking. The number in my chart later that day was different. When I raised it, I was first told this was likely a retrieved-vs-mature count mix-up, which was not accurate, before staff eventually acknowledged the doctor had misspoken. On the plus side, Dr. Wang was pleasant to work with, the support staff were kind, and app-based communication was fast. Medication communication was very clear and detailed. I know I'll likely just get a stock response here asking me to reach out to speak further. If they actually care, they know where to reach me directly.
I couldn't speak higher of Spring Fertility and especially Dr Wang. If you're looking for care that feels personal, modern, streamlined but still tailored to you, consult here first. Everything is app-managed and the horror stories of having to do tons of admin, follow up on things etc that I'd heard about fertility clinics in general just never happened to me. I had an incredible nurse coordinator who responded quickly to day-to-day questions, and felt like I was always given enough time to ask questions with Dr Wang and feel heard. Having to do fertility treatment is never something people do just for fun, but I felt that Spring made it as easy on me as possible.
Dr. Weng and the nursing team made what can be a nerve-wracking process feel manageable and supported. Dr. Weng is patient, thorough, compassionate, and always willing to walk you through any questions. The clinic's app could use some improvements, but their responsiveness through direct messaging is excellent and consistent. I came away from this experience feeling well cared for and glad I chose this team.
Bad service, they told me wanted to provide exceptional service, and did not let me know the medication should be kept freezing, and a man called Ellen also told me that was all my fault. I thought they were going to apologize, but one one did
I had a great experience at Spring Fertility in Redwood City. I worked with Dr. Wang, who was incredibly warm and compassionate communication style that really put me at ease. The clinic is conveniently located and easy to access. It took a little time to get used to the app-based communication, but once you do, it’s actually very efficient - perfect for those who are tech-savvy. I loved how quickly I could get appointments, often as soon as the next day. They also accept Progeny, which was a big plus. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a modern, tech-driven fertility clinic with a caring team.
