12 months agoI first started at Origin a few years ago, thanks to a friendly sibling rivalry. Watching my little sister deadlift over 200 pounds left me in awe of the sheer power she had developed. It was a pivotal moment that pushed me to embark on my own strength journey—not just physically, but mentally as well. At the time, I was going through some major life changes, and Origin became more than just a gym—it became a place of self-improvement. When I met with the owner, I was immediately drawn to his philosophy of health and mindset. His approach was unlike anything I had experienced before. Rather than throwing me straight into lifting, the onboarding process began with a conversation. We sat down to discuss who I was, what was happening in my life, where I wanted to go, and what my mindset was at that time. This deep understanding allowed me to realize goals I hadn’t even considered for myself. Through his guidance, I gained the confidence to step onto the platform and perform my Squat, Bench, and Deadlift with purpose. More importantly, I developed a stronger understanding of both my physical and mental well-being. One of the greatest aspects of Origin is the community. I’ve met some of the most incredible, down-to-earth people—individuals who may seem like everyday gym-goers but possess unreal strength. The support, camaraderie, and motivation within these walls are unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Origin has truly changed my perspective on strength training and personal growth. a year agoI joined Origin in Fall 2022, interested in strength training, intrigued by powerlifting but only ever having touched a barbell once. I remember my amazement in seeing other members, especially the women, lift such heavy weights. I’m still amazed by everyone at the gym. What I didn’t anticipate is how amazed I now am at myself, and my own progress and strength. Origin Group training has been a great mix between individual attention, independent work, and group camaraderie. Every week I still receive helpful 1:1 guidance from my coach, while also developing enough confidence to do things on my own. And the group conditioning makes it easy to get to know other members. Even as a mostly shy person, I feel comfortable and welcomed by everyone at Origin. My Origin highlights have been: - Powerlifting meets. So fun to watch, and I finally found the courage (mixed with a little push from my coach) to compete! Origin makes meets accessible even for people early on in their journeys. - Coaches. The coaches at Origin genuinely care about each member and want to see us progress. - Consistency. Knowing I’m paying for a membership and that my coach and others will notice my absence helps get me into the gym even on days when I would’ve otherwise lost momentum. - Community. I look forward to seeing everyone at the gym, and Origin constantly looks for new ways to bring members together. Origin supports its members both physically and mentally. I’m grateful to have found it.

Heather and Danny pay close attention to make sure that you’re not just going through the motions and that you get the most out of each session. a year agoOrigin is a real investment in your health. Most of my trainers were good but focused on tactical improvements. At Origin, the coaching feels more comprehensive, with discussions about your broader lifestyle and health. It's helped me get to the next stage. Highly recommend.
