a year agoWhat's the point of having a pollinator bed if you cut it down and remove the crops? September 4th it was full. Didn't take any pictures that day, but as of at least today, September 29th, there is no more pollinator habitat. I don't understand how removing plants -- I assume to be native -- helps to protect pollinators, especially if there were butterfly eggs, larvae, and pupae living on the plants that were destined to be cut down. Came to take a break from studying for an exam to see lepidoptera only to find out that the bed no longer exists.
