I ended up doing the full 4.1 mile waterfall loop when I went for my first time this past weekend. It was an incredible experience and I got to see more waterfalls in one day than I have in my entire life. We went a day after it had rained a lot in the area, so anywhere water could come from it was, and the falls were all flowing powerfully. However, that did slow us down a bit by making it so we needed to be extra careful on the wet rocks being ~7 feet away from a drop in a couple of spots. There're two ways to really go about the falls trail. The most difficult incline is a mile of straight climbing or descending, depending on the direction you go that can either be done first or last, depending on which way you go. If you don't want to trek 4 miles, you can still see the biggest waterfall of them all and like 7 or so others by just going down the trail then back up. No matter what, there'll be a long, uphill section you have to do, but you'll want to take breaks anyway to see the falls. It's not the hardest trail in the world, but it is quite a work out and can be hard for those who don't hike often.

An Unforgettable Journey Through a Waterfall Paradise: The Ricketts Glen Falls Trail The Falls Trail at Ricketts Glen State Park is not just a hike; it is a true Pennsylvania treasure and a demanding, yet ultimately rewarding, hike. The experience is challenging but absolutely worth it, offering a breathtaking display of nature's power and beauty that has earned the Glens Natural Area its designation as a National Natural Landmark.

I’ve hiked many trails all over the country as well as in Eastern Canada and the Falls trail ranks up there with the best. It’s a strenuous hike to do the loop and to include the three falls below Water’s Meet but you get to experience 21 major waterfalls in just under four miles. I do recommend good hiking boots and hiking poles.
