2 months ago📍 Location: Great Falls, VA 📅 Visited: March 2026 🥾 Activity: Hiking / Walking / Scenic Stop / Photography I recently visited Great Falls and it turned out to be a great spot for a brisk walk and photography with the kids. The area is easy to access and offers scenic views, peaceful nature, and a good workout. ✔ Trail Condition: Paved ✔ Difficulty: Easy ✔ Length: 1.5 miles from parking lot Overlook ✔ Cleanliness: Very tidy and maintained The highlight of this location is definitely the rushing white waters of the Potomac. Every time I see it it's like something out of a movie. During my visit the area felt peaceful and serene. • Parking: Limited parking, be there early • Crowds: busy (a sunny Sunday) • Best time to visit: sunrise or sunset • Good for: All who love the outdoors • Dog friendly: Yes The only minor issue was the limited parking, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, I’d definitely recommend visiting the Overlook at Great Falls if you're in the Great Falls area. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, get some exercise, or take in scenic views. 📸 I’ve included a few photos so others can see what the trail and views look like before visiting.
