5 stars for the Centers giving inner city kids teens and adults a place to go and to the hard working caring inner CITY men and women employees. 1 star for all the centers being named after Caucasian men/women, even if they were born in Elizabeth, accomplished for themselves in Elizabeth, but moved to Caucasian neighborhoods and never looked back. Almost all the centers attendees are inner city African American and they should have their role model's names on the buildings. No offense to Mickey Walker who lived and died in Rumson NJ, if he were alive he would not be teaching inner city kids boxing in downtown Elizabeth. The men/women who actually do and did names should be on the buildings. The inner city coaches who gave their love and time and died as a coach or trainer from the actual center. Fred Erxleben, lived in Brick township since 1963, he was born in Elizabeth, played sports for Elizabeth but what else for Elizabeth? His name should be on a center in Brick Township. It is also time for a new mayor of Elizabeth after almost 40 years, Mayor Chris Bollwage is just an expert at taking photos with African-Americans and going back to his section. How many times have you seen him in a photo for speaking at the scene for justice in Elizabeth? Predominantly African-American customers with predominantly Hispanic and Caucasian merchants on Broad Street, Elizabeth needs an example of being for all people like NY Mayor Mamdani.
