Melinda is hands down the best dance instructor! She helped choreograph our Wedding First Dance. Ballroom dance was definitely out of our comfort zone, however, Melinda helped make the learning process so fun and simple. From the moment we met with her, she had such an infectious personality and aura about her. She simplified the steps for us beginner dancers, as well as incorporated more advanced dips and lifts to our liking, once we were comfortable with the basics. We had a total of 6 lessons with Melinda and we always looked forward to each class. Melinda would always greet us with a smile and kept that positivity throughout every lesson. She is able to teach the dance moves in an efficient manner, while never overwhelming her students. We were nervous starting the process about a month prior to our wedding, but Melinda was able to turn the daunting task of ballroom dancing into such a fun and stress free environment. We were confident in our First Dance when our wedding day came, and it turned out better than we imagined. Sway Ballroom Dance studio is so lucky to have Melinda, and we cannot stress enough how fortunate anyone would be to take dance lessons with her. Whether it is for a wedding or learning a new hobby, we highly recommend Melinda. You will not be disappointed!

From a Salsa beginner to a lifelong dancer—Sway is my second family! ​I walked into Sway Ballroom Dance in the summer of 2024 with a simple goal: I just wanted to learn a little Salsa. I had no idea I was walking into a life-changing passion! Fast forward to today, and I am completely hooked, now training in American Smooth and Rhythm. ​The transformation I’ve made is 100% due to the incredible people here. The teachers are fantastic—so talented, patient, and genuinely invested in your progress. The owner has cultivated such a warm, welcoming vibration that makes you feel at home the moment you step inside. ​It’s not just the staff, though; the community of regulars is amazing. Everyone supports one another, and there is zero intimidation, just the joy of dance. Sway Ballroom Dance has truly become my second family. If you are on the fence, just go for it. You won’t regret it!

If you want to learn to dance socially or competively, Sway is the way! The instructors are outstanding and have competed themselves. The studio and the owners are adorable and the location is close to a freeway. Friday night dance parties are well attended and fun and gives you an opportunity to try out what you've learned. Group lessons are Monday thru Friday and are affordable. I have been taking lesson for several months and have learned a lot in a very short time. Grab some decent dance shoes and join me at Sway!
