Kim Chee 1 Restaurant brings authentic Korean cuisine to Kaneohe with a menu that delights both longtime fans and newcomers. This humble eatery might look modest from the outside, but inside, you’ll find a welcoming ambiance and dishes bursting with flavor. The generous portions and affordable specials, like the shoyu chicken & meat jun plate, make it a favorite spot for those craving hearty Korean meals.
Patrons appreciate the inclusion of traditional sides such as two types of kimchee and soup served in the authentic way, enhancing the overall dining experience. Friendly and efficient staff add to the charm, and while parking can be a challenge, the food and service here are well worth the effort. Whether dropping by for a quick breakfast or planning a full lunch or dinner, Kim Chee 1 remains a treasured gem in the community.

a month agoI understand they are closing on November 15th, but to order takeout for lunch and being told to pick up at 745pm is ridiculous

a month agoThey're usually pretty excellent, but depending on what you order. What I should have ordered, was FISH JUN then I wouldn't be doing this review! ..Monday night November 10th, 5 more days before they close for good, as that's what their workers told me... Saturday night is their last day there, after DECADES being really the only Korean Restaurant in Kaneohe, we've been living here since 1962! Because I bought those breaded beef and pork, ended up with so little bit of meat, you would have been much happier going to Zippys, for $75 and a 2 hour waiting time, Me and Brandy drove back to Kahaluu, then came back in 40 minutes, and 2 meat juns, and 1 pork jun at $75 still wasn't ready...Then another 30 minutes, it was finally ready....They do work hard though. I just ordered the wrong stuff. More than 70 percent was all breading, and I took off all the breading, but 1st squeezed most of the oil or grease out using paper towels. Essentially we ate NOTHING! I wouldn't give my golden retriever Brandy any of the deep fried breading, so she hardly ate anything, poor Brandy... The Ziwipeak Air Dried Venison in Brandy's Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is so way better than the food.. I should have ordered Shrimp Tempura, looked good, but too late now! They do work hard....This Review will be deleted within 4, 5 days from today! Of u love greasy breading, then those meat juns are what I recommend!! Gary & Brandy of Kahaluu!!

2 months agoGreat value lunch special. Pick two meats for 14.99 plus rice, veg, kimchee and soup. Lots of choices and large portions from a great family restaurant. Don’t pass it by.
